The Dragon's Fortress
Descrizione
Rocca del Drago, in dialect Rokka du Traku, was given this name on account of its resemblance to a dragon with three eyes. It appears that these circles were carved by a human hand, perhaps during the Neolithic age. Some hold that it is simply the bizarre work of nature. According to a legend a dead dragon that fed on the milk contained in another rock formation called the milk cauldrons [caldaie del latte] once lived under the rock. Another legend associated with this rock formation has it that a dragon safeguards a treasure trove right here which may be recovered only by someone willing to offer a male kid, a black cat and a child in sacrifice.
